In an effort to foster inclusion and female-led tech startups, Startups Without Borders has partnered with Italian university Luiss Guido Carli University to provide scholarships for women in STEM sciences.

Startups Without Borders has partnered with Italian university Luiss Guido Carli University, to provide scholarships for women looking to enter the tech innovation space and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The partnership, announced at the Startups Without Borders Summit last December, includes total scholarships (which cover university tuition fee, room and board); and partial scholarships (covering university tuition or part thereof), which will be granted according to the institution’s eligibility criteria.
The scholarships are valid for students who apply to either Bachelor’s or Masters Degree which are held in Rome, as well as the online Master’s Degree in Strategic Management or Marketing, which are delivered in digital format. After their studies, students will be taken on a journey to discover the Italian Startup Scene, with Startups Without Borders.
Ahead of the grants, Luiss Guido Carli University is hosting the online workshop “From the present to the future. Building Better Together”, on April 14-15th.
Luiss professors and internationally renowned experts will hold online lectures on the topics of sustainable development, peace building, the role of business in development cooperation, gender equality, climate change, sustainable finance, cybersecurity, and the opportunities and risks of digitalization for sustainable development.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the two days, and translation will be provided during the session in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Who can apply to the scholarship?
Students can apply to either Bachelor’s or Masters Degree which are held in Rome, as well as the online Master’s Degree in Strategic Management or Marketing.
In case of admission, candidates will be able to count on the support of the university’s Welcome Desk to handle the bureaucratic formalities and also assist them with the visa for entry to Italy for university enrollment purposes.

Make sure that you have the following at hand: latest transcript of records (in pdf format), ID, certificate of English or Italian language proficiency (B2 level) and contact details of a teacher who can give us some feedback regarding your academic background.
