It’s been an exciting Demo Day for the Startup Roadshow finalists, who took to the global stage and pitched in front of hundreds of attendees, who watched the crowning of three winning teams. Now, it’s time for Beirut to see the champions!
Next December 14th, Jusoor and SPARK are hosting the second Demo Day, where 5 finalist teams that didn’t make it to the Netherlands will pitch at the heart of Lebanon’s tech hub, Beirut Digital District. The Roadshow is thus doubling up prizes, with two more winners getting $8.000 and $4.000 in equity-free funding.
Last November 28th in Amsterdam, Azhar Al Madani won the first prize for his startup Shiffer, a peer-to-peer shipping platform based in Erbil, Iraq. The second place was awarded to Fadfed, a HealthTech startup founded by Syrian entrepreneur Ibrahem Ahmed, which offers users access to mental health through a mobile app; and Sharqi Shop, an e-commerce platform for Middle Eastern crafts founded by Saleem Najjar, was awarded the YAG Audience Prize, provided by the Young Advisory Group.
